25E-NBOH 1.2mg Blotters

4-Ethyl-2,5-dimethoxy-(N-(2-hydroxybenzyl))phenethylamine, commonly known as 25E-NBOH or 2C-E-NBOH, is a closely related analog of 25E-NBOMe. This synthetic psychedelic substance belongs to the phenethylamine chemical class and is reported to share most of its properties with 25E-NBOMe, albeit with moderately reduced potency and a shorter duration. Phenethylamines are known to produce a range of visually-dominant and stimulating psychedelic effects when administered.

Development and History

25E-NBOH is a derivative of the hallucinogen 2C-E. It was first synthesized by Martin Hansen at the University of Copenhagen in 2010 as a brain imaging agent. Although the exact mechanism by which 25E-NBOH exerts its effects is not fully understood, it is believed to bind to serotonin receptors in the brain.

Administration

Similar to other known psychedelics, compounds in the NBOH family are not orally active and should be administered sublingually. This involves placing the substance in the mouth and allowing it to absorb over a period of 15-25 minutes.

Subjective Effects

The subjective effects of 25E-NBOH include open and closed-eye visuals, time distortion, enhanced introspection, ego loss, stimulation, and euphoria. User reports describe 25E-NBOH as a clear-headed, dose-sensitive psychedelic capable of producing strong visual distortions.

Scientific Introduction and Current Use

25E-NBOH was first introduced to the scientific community in 2010 by Martin Hansen as a brain imaging agent. It wasn't until 2017 that the substance appeared on seized blotter paper in Brazil. While it is likely that 25E-NBOH was used prior to 2017, there is a lack of concrete evidence to support this. Today, 25E-NBOH is often used as a cost-effective alternative to LSD or is passed off as LSD itself.

Pharmacology

The psychedelic effects of 25E-NBOH are believed to be mediated by its binding to the 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C receptors as an agonist. Although information regarding the pharmacological properties of 25E-NBOH is still limited, its action is thought to be similar to that of other serotonergic psychedelics.
