2C-B-FLY 12mg Pellets

2C-B-FLY is a lesser-known novel psychedelic substance belonging to the phenethylamine and benzodihydrodifuran classes. It produces a range of psychedelic and entactogenic effects when administered. Reports characterize its effects profile as having features of 2C-B, mescaline, and MDA, with a duration of action lasting between 6 to 8 hours, and potentially up to 12 hours at larger doses.

As a derivative of the 2C-x family of psychedelic phenethylamines, 2C-B-FLY significantly differs from 2C-B in terms of potency, metabolism, and potential toxicity. It was first synthesized by Aaron P. Monte in 1996.

Chemistry

2C-B-FLY is a substituted molecule within the phenethylamine and dihydrobenzofuran chemical classes. It features a phenyl ring connected to an amino (NH2) group via an ethyl chain, and contains a bromine atom attached to carbon R4 of the phenyl ring. This atypical psychedelic phenethylamine is closely analogous to 2C-B; it serves as the dihydrofuran analog of 2C-B, incorporating the methoxy groups bound to R2 and R5 of 2C-B into five-member dihydrofuran rings that are fused to the central benzene ring. 2C-B-FLY belongs to a group of phenethylamine derivatives known as the FLY compounds, named for their insect-like appearance, which features two “wing-like” tetrahydrofuran rings fused on opposite sides of the central benzene ring. The incorporation of the two methoxy groups into the five-member rings positions them optimally for receptor binding, resulting in increased potency compared to the non-rigid counterpart, 2C-B.

Pharmacology

As a psychedelic phenethylamine, 2C-B-FLY is the dihydrodifuran analog of 2C-B. While little is known about the full range of its effects, the psychedelic effects of 2C-B-FLY are believed to arise from its efficacy at the 5-HT2A receptor as a partial agonist. The specific mechanisms of these interactions and how they contribute to the psychedelic experience are still under ongoing scientific investigation.

Subjective Effects

In comparison to 2C-B, 2C-B-FLY presents a significantly more pronounced body high/load, stronger visual effects, more complex geometry, and deeper internal hallucinations that are comparable to those produced by mescaline, 2C-E, or MDA at higher doses. However, lower doses are associated with more entactogenic effects rather than classical psychedelic effects.
